Uber, the ride-hail and delivery service, has announced a fixed route shuttle service called Route Share. Said to cut costs up to 50% of an UberX trip, starting today, in selected cities across the US. Cities including Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, New York City, Philadelphia, and San Francisco. The shuttle service will run to different stops every 20 minutes, these stops have been determined from Uber’s ride sharing data as the most used routes in cities. Each route only has up to two additional stops along the way and will only have up to a few other co-riders. The shuttle service can be booked anytime from seven days up to 10 minutes before departure.
