You might want to think twice about reusing that username across your social accounts. Turns out you might be easily tracked due to a new website, the SherlockProject. The Sherlock Project claims that it searches over 400 social websites to find matched usernames, which are likely being used by the same person. This isn’t something new of course, searching for usernames has been a thing since the birth of the search engine. However modern technology makes this task more feasible. And while matching usernames across social networks becomes an easier task, you still have stylometry analysis, which could increase the chances of matching said usernames by analyzing the text produced by each one.
